Not Another Leadership Course 
What makes LEO extraordinary is that it combines transformational learning with practical, concrete and immediate application to your organisation or business, with personal coaching and recurrent practise that enhances your leadership impact.  Typical management and leadership today constitute little more than the wisdom distilled from empirical examples, as in Harvard’s well-known case study approach, and largely lacks the clear principles and practices of a mature discipline.  Most MBA programs appear to be inadequate to produce the skills now needed for effective management or leadership.  Managers typically learn on the job with inconsistent results. 

Only those who master fundamental competencies will be able to rise effectively to the challenges posed by the new emerging demands of a changing world in the new millennium; leaders must be able to reconfigure organisations, partnerships and departments. They must be able to create new possibilities and shift the common sense of their organisations and communities. LEO is a 3-year programme in which you register for a year at a time.  In it you will engage with new advances in thinking and performance which provide a foundation for more effective leadership and management and give you the ability to deal with the uncertainty and turbulence of our times.

The discipline of Generative Leadership, which we have been participating in developing for over 25 years, is built on the foundations of the work of  Dr. Fernando Flores, Dr. Richard Strozzi Heckler, Julio Olalla, as well as other leaders and thinkers from a number of fields including biologists Drs. Humberto Maturana and Francisco Varela; continental philosophers, particularly Martin Heidegger; and the philosophers of language, John Austin and John Searle.  
                                         
Programme Details

Conference Schedule – Year 1 (all in Amsterdam, The Netherlands)
Conference 1 (4 days): 1-4 Oct. 2009
Conference 2 (4 days): 11-14 Feb. 2010
Conference 3 (3 days):  1-3 July, 2010

In the first year of this 3-year programme, participants will attend three, 4-day conferences held over 9 months and are expected to devote approximately 6 hours per week to their study and practices.  These studies, assignment work, and responses are geared to participants’ actual leadership and management situations.  Participants will work together in learning teams and receive regular coaching from Newfield’s executive coaches.  Assignments are focused on the introduction of distinctions and the development of pragmatic result-oriented practices on the job. 

Tuition: € 9,500 per year (Does not include travel, hotel, or meals.)
